Community Chest/Fundraising

The Luke family have a key policy of contributing to the local community and will help fundraise and support community groups whenever they can. 

They believe their customers support their business, and in return they want to support their customers. Shopping at local, independent and family-owned businesses makes a stronger community.

COMMUNITY CHEST

The Luke family strongly support the IGA philosophy to support the local community by way of their Community Chest.  The Community Chest is an IGA initiative to raise funds - every time a Community Chest product is purchased a percentage is set aside for distribution back into the community.

Next time you are in one of our stores look for the special Community Chest tickets on the shelves to help you identify which products help put something back into our local community. To find out more about how IGA Community Chest is benefiting local communities all over Australia click here.

When customers join the Luke’s Supa IGA Community Club they are able to nominate a local charity or organization to which Community Chest funds are distributed.  For an organization to achieve a greater share of the Community Chest all they need to do is to ask friends and family to shop at Luke’s Supa IGA and join the Community Club, nominating their organization.
